“Pizza-man and the Mysterious Mayhem of Macaroni Mastermind”

In the bustling city of Cheesetopia, a new hero has emerged- Pizza-man! With his amazing ability to swing across the city using strings of cheese, he fights crime and delivers cheesy justice!

This comic was created as an experiment in creating things with the help of AI. I had the opportunity to mess around with AI a lot during the summer and here are some of my findings regarding how this technology affects creatives:

I think artistic intent will soon become king as it is no longer about mastering the rigorous process of making, but rather refining and elevating the human intention behind each decision.

In the case of this comic, the human intent I contributed was my desire to create something to pay homage to my favorite comics as a kid: Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey. It is not a stretch to say that those silly comics about wedgies taught me to read and inspired me to start creating.

What do you think? Can ai be seen as another tool in our arsenal to help us create better art faster? Or does the fact that ai was involved make you value this piece less? Most importantly: Does the piece still carry the same amount of soul if the intention is pure but the process complicated?
